Celebrating 78th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day, Semen Gresik Organizes Ceremony and Various Fun Games in Corporate Environment
Rembang, August 21, 2023 – To enliven the celebration of the 78th anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day, PT Semen Gresik organized a flag hoisting ceremony as well as various traditional, fun games in the corporate environment.
The flag hoisting ceremony started the series of events on August 17, 2023, which was attended by PT Semen Gresik’s Director of Operations Benny Ismanto, who was acting as the inspector of the ceremony, as well as all of the staff of the company in front of Gedung CCR, the Rembang factory (Aug. 17).
In his welcome speech, the Director of Operations of PT Semen Gresik, Benny Ismanto, encouraged all of Semen Gresik’s staff to turn the commemoration of the Independence Day into “semangat 45” [motivation resembling that of those who fought for Indonesia’s independence] to contribute more to support the company’s continuity.
According to Benny, to face the economic outlook of 2023, the company had to be ready to deal with various dynamics of the industry to support the continuity of the business and a strong corporate performance.
“Alhamdulillah [praise be to God], as observed from the data of July 2023, the company’s performance has seen a significant year-on-year increase. This accomplishment has been backed up by the increased volume of sales and operational performance,” Benny further explained.
Benny added that the management of PT Semen Gresik would like to express gratitude and appreciation of the contribution of all the staff and parties involved. “The smart, hard work of the staff has supported the best output of corporate performance. We believe that we would be able to achieve more success together for the progress of the company,” he concluded his statement.
Meanwhile, PT Semen Gresik’s Manager of Communication & CSR Dharma Sunyata stated that during the celebration of the 78th anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day, PT Semen Gresik organized fun games for the staff to take part in. Such games were a tug-of-war game, a chess tournament, a cooking competition, a table tennis competition, futsal, and an esports competition.
“[I] hope that other than as a celebration of Independence Day, the games may serve as a means of friendship among the staff of all departments in the Rembang factory,” Dharma said.
