Enlivening Pasar Rakyat dan Bazar UMKM together with the Ministry of SOEs, PT Semen Gresik Received Appreciation from 50 MSMEs Assisted by the Rumah BUMN Rembang

Rembang, July 21, 2022 - PT Semen Gresik (PTSG), through Rumah BUMN Rembang, supported Pasar Rakyat dan Bazar UMKM (a social activity in the form of a festival market) organized by PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) and the Ministry of SOEs at Rembang Regency's town square, Thursday (21/7). This activity was attended by Special Staff III of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga; Head of the Central Java Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Ema Rachmawati; Rembang Regent, Abdul Hafidz; Representatives from the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda); and GIS and PTSG management.

As many as 50 MSMEs assisted by Indonesia's leading cement company were provided with free booths and other supporting facilities. In addition, they had the opportunity to speak with Special Staff III of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga. On this occasion, the assisted MSMEs, which worked in various business fields such as craft, fashion, batik, food, beverages, services, and so on, successfully recorded sales transactions totaling tens of millions of rupiahs. 

According to Arya Mahendra Sinulingga, the Ministry of SOEs, through Rumah BUMN, are ready to support, assist, and facilitate the needs of MSMEs to develop and market their products.

"We, as the representatives of the Ministry of SOEs, are extremely proud and appreciate that MSMEs in Rembang Regency, particularly those joining Rumah BUMN, have entered an advanced and growing scale because they are no longer focused on product packaging and start focusing on product exports, business management, and so forth," Sinulingga said during a dialogue with MSME actors.

The Head of the Central Java Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Ema Rachmawati, also appreciated Semen Gresik's active role in helping the community boost the economy.  

"Rumah BUMN Rembang's progress to help SMEs market their products is expeditious. Hopefully, Rumah BUMN in other areas will follow this admirable effort," explained Ema Racmawati.  

Senior Manager of Communication and CSR of PTSG, Dharma Sunyata, emphasized that the implementation of Pasar Rakyat dan Bazar UMKM was a form of contribution from Semen Gresik and SIG through Rumah BUMN to the national economic recovery program in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"This event aims to increase the public's sense of pride in domestic products and recover the economy of the community and MSMEs amid the pandemic that has yet to come to an end," said Sunyata in a press release, Thursday (21/7).

In addition, the participants of the activity also greatly appreciated this event. This activity was deemed highly beneficial for MSME actors and might motivate the new and developed MSMEs.

"We are proud to be part of Rumah BUMN Rembang because we can now benefit from their support and training. We hope that we can expand the sales area so we can sell to many places, including other countries," said Belia Ayu, the owner of Batik Tulis Lasem Sekar Mulyo.
