Semen Gresik Achieves the Title of Best Implementer 2 CSR Awards 2023 from Central Java Provincial Government

Rembang, December 20th, 2023 PT Semen Gresik closed the year 2023 with a brilliant achievement, namely successfully obtaining the title of the 2nd best implementer in the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Awards 2023 category of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) from the Central Java Provincial Government in Wisma Perdamaian Hall, Semarang (18/12).

The award was received directly by the General Manager of Communication & Legal of PT Semen Gresik, Abdul Manan, from the Assistant Deputy for TJSL of the Ministry of SOEs, Edi Eko Cahyono, who represented the Acting Governor of Central Java.

"This award is given as a form of appreciation for the implementation of social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) or CSR programs in a sustainable manner and oriented towards environmental sustainability, circular economy, and community empowerment," Abdul Manan explained.

He continued that all these achievements, cannot be separated from the support of all lines of the company that have successfully carried out their functions and responsibilities in achieving sustainable development goals for the community.

He continued, that one of Semen Gresik's CSR programs managed to get the Tamasya Award 2023 (Mining Welfare for the Community) from the Director General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia, through the Bumi Kartini community empowerment group program (Sweet Fruit Work of Women Farmers) from Ngampel village, Blora Regency.

Meanwhile, representing the Acting Governor of Central Java, the Assistant for Government and People's Welfare of Central Java Province, Ema Rachmawati, gave her highest appreciation to the winners and nominees, especially from BUMN, BUMD, and private companies that have played an active role in efforts to prosper and advance the community through CSR programs.

"One of the state-owned companies, Semen Gresik, through its community empowerment program has succeeded in encouraging MSMEs in Rembang Regency to sell Eid hampers that have managed to reap hundreds of millions of rupiah in profits," she said.

He believes that this award will further encourage business people to play an active role in development programs. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is expected to continue to strengthen efforts to accelerate the reduction of poverty, and unemployment, and improve the welfare of the people in the province.
