Semen Gresik Distributes Dozens of Qurban Cattle and Goats in 18 Points in Rembang and Blora Areas

Rembang, June 19th, 2024 – Celebrating Eid al-Adha 1445 H, PT Semen Gresik, a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) distributed a total of 22 qurban animals, with details of 12 cows and 10 goats distributed to the people of Rembang and Blora Regencies.

The distribution of qurban animals was carried out from 14 - 16 June 2024 spread across 18 points, namely to the environment of Islamic boarding schools, religious organizations, the management of the Great Mosque of Rembang, and village governments around the area of PT Semen Gresik Rembang Factory.

Senior Manager of Communication and CSR, Sulistyono, said that the distribution of qurban animals on the big day of Eid al-Adha 1445 H is also a reflection of the company's commitment in the spirit of sharing, and continues to be committed to growing and developing with the community.

"Through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSR) program, this distribution is expected to benefit thousands of eligible residents, especially people in Rembang and Blora Regencies," he explained.

Sulistyono added, suppliers of qurban animals are taken from the Semen Gresik Livestock Group from the company's operational area, where livestock management is carried out starting from breeding or puppies to marketing.

Thus, this has a direct impact on community empowerment and improving the economy of residents. "The livestock distributed has gone through a detailed Physical Examination stage, so that the quality of qurban animals is declared healthy and feasible," he said.

He continued; this activity is a tangible manifestation of the company in carrying out the TJSL program through this qurban animal distribution activity. The goal is to encourage the fulfillment of basic human rights fairly and equally to create prosperity for the entire community.

"The distribution of qurban animals by PT Semen Gresik has been carried out every year since the start of the Rembang factory operations in 2017. Until this year, 350 qurban animals have been counted, with details of 102 cows and 248 goats for beneficiaries in the company's operational area, "he concluded.
