Semen Gresik Distributes Humanitarian Assistance Worth IDR111 Million, Ranging from Humanitarian Logistics to Trauma Healing, to the Earthquake Victims in Cianjur
Rembang, December 1, 2022 – PT Semen Gresik (PTSG), through the Quick Response Team (TRC) of the Disaster Response Task Force in collaboration with the Association of Semen Gresik Employees’ Wives (IIKSG) and the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) of Semen Gresik, distributed humanitarian assistance in the form of humanitarian logistics worth IDR111 million to the earthquake victims and trauma healing for children affected by the earthquake in Cianjur, West Java (1/12).
The humanitarian logistics distributed to the victims ranged from food, toiletries, sleeping equipment, medicines, and kids’ toys.
The Senior Manager of Communication and CSR of PTSG, Dharma Sunyata, confirmed that the humanitarian logistics and trauma healing for children are forms of the Company’s concern and empathy for the earthquake victims in Cianjur.
“This assistance is proof of the Company’s commitment and social responsibility to keep supporting the community after facing disaster. Hopefully, it will help the victims recover and revive,” Sunyata said in his press release on Thursday (1/12).
Further, Sunyata added that the humanitarian logistics were handed over directly to the BUMN Disaster Task Force Post in West Java and the BUMN Volunteer Post in Limbangansari, Cianjur, to be distributed to the affected points, thereby providing assistance right on the target.
“Apart from that, we also provided trauma healing for children affected by the earthquake in the Limbangansari area. We also motivated and empowered them psychologically to revive their enthusiasm for life after facing the earthquake,” he concluded.
Moreover, the coordinator of the BUMN Volunteer Post in Limbangansari, Cianjur, Ari Setiawan, expressed his appreciation for the solidarity of PTSG in distributing humanitarian assistance to the communities affected by the earthquake.
“We highly appreciate and are thankful for PTSG. We will forward this humanitarian assistance to the communities in need. Hopefully, this assistance will be useful for the communities affected by the earthquake,” concluded Setiawan.
