Rembang, June 20, 2023 – PT Semen Gresik again received recognition and won two prestigious awards at The 1st Indonesia GPR Awards (IGA) 2023, an event organized by Humas Indonesia at Hotel Claro Makassar, South Sulawesi on Friday, June 16, 2023.

The two awards were the best appreciation for Subhan, the President Director of PT Semen Gresik (2021–2023), in the category of most popular leaders in digital news media; and a Gold Winner for PT Semen Gresik in the category of Lembaga Humas Pemerintah Terbaik (the best government PR agency), subcategory of Anak Usaha BUMN (state-owned subsidiary companies) on Program Koperasi, UMKM, dan Ekonomi Kreatif (the program for cooperatives, MSMEs, and creative economy) that focuses on empowering the social economy and improving community engagement through the program of Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang PT Semen Gresik.

The General Manager of Communication & Legal of PT Semen Gresik, Fardhi Sjahrul Ade, welcomed the recognition received by the company in this first prestigious event for national-level PR agencies.

“This [accomplishment] signifies the trust the public puts in PT Semen Gresik, who consistently provides credible and attractive information and successfully supports the empowerment of society for their economies,” he explained.

Fardhi added that the recognition received by Subhan, the President Director of PT Semen Gresik (2021–2023), in the category of the most popular leader in digital news media, was a genuine confirmation of PT Semen Gresik’s success in establishing the presence of corporate leaders in the digital world and gaining the trust of the public to strengthen the company’s positive image.

He also added that the support Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang PT Semen Gresik had provided had successfully propelled the sales of Rembang’s MSME products into reaching nearly 3 billion rupiah worth of transactions since RB Rembang’s establishment in 2020.

Such accomplishment was achieved through various programs to coach, train, and develop a robust and digital-based marketing network. This would promote business growth, an increase in profit, the availability of job opportunities, and the expansion of market reach on both a national and international level.

Previously, PT Semen Gresik also received recognition in the scope of PR and corporate communication, in the form of a Gold Winner in the subcategory of Owned Media Video Profile, and a Silver Winner in the subcategory of Annual Report, both in the Public Relations Indonesia Awards (PRIA) 2023.

Meanwhile, the CEO of Humas Indonesia, Asmono Wikan, stated that IGA 2023 was a competition event joined by hundreds of government agencies and ministries, state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and their subsidiaries, local-owned enterprises (BUMD), as well as universities across Indonesia.
