Semen Gresik’s Caretaker President Director Shares Tips of Successful Career with Hundreds of UGM Students
Rembang, May 23, 2023 – PT Semen Gresik in collaboration with the Department of Economics and Business at the UGM Vocational School (DEB SV UGM) successfully organized a seminar entitled “Kiat Sukses Berkarir atau Menjadi Entrepreneur Unggul” (Tips for a Successful Career or Becoming a Great Entrepreneur). The event was part of the Kadegama Learning Festival 2023, organized at Gedung Suhardi Sigit DEB SV UGM, Yogyakarta (25/5).
In attendance were the caretaker president director of PT Semen Gresik Muchammad Supriyadi as the primary speaker, the head of DEB SV UGM Anggito Abimanyu, business practitioners, and hundreds of DEB SV UGM students.
On this occasion, the caretaker president director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi, stated that the key to a successful career was a solid determination to achieve success.
To achieve success in the world of work, he continued, individuals had to possess three main characteristics: Knowledge, Skill, and Attitude (KSA). “Knowledge refers to one’s understanding, Skill to abilities, and Attitude to how one behaves,” he explained.
He continued that it referred to great soft skills and hard skills, as well as sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge that might serve as assets in facing the competitive world of work.
“What’s also important is that individuals are required to be able to cooperate with stakeholders, whether on the individual, group, or community level in an organization or company,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the head of DEB SV UGM, Anggito Abimanyu, believed that this collaboration offered an opportunity for the students to gain insights and directly interact with business practitioners who shared their strategies for success.
“We hope that this synergy may continue further and positively benefit the students so that they can continue growing and developing great competencies in their careers,” he ended.
