Semen Gresik's Rumah BUMN Launches a Program for Mass Buying Eid Gifts from Small and Medium Enterprises, Targeting Half-Billoin Rupiah Transactions
Rembang, 18 April 2022 - Rumah BUMN (RB) in Rembang, which is facilitated by PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) and PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (Persero) Tbk (SIG), promoted a movement to buy products from SMEs in Central Java for the Eid gifts to celebrate the 1443 AH Eid al-Fitr. This support was manifested in the agenda for launching the "Bingkisan Berkah UKM Rembang" program (a program for encouraging people to buy Eid gifts from SMEs) as the result of the synergy between Rumah BUMN and the Rembang Regency Government and related agencies on Thursday (14/4). The event, attended by the Regent of Rembang in person, Abdul Hafidz, and virtually by the Head of the Central Java Province Cooperatives and SMEs Office, Ema Rachmawati, was carried out online and offline. There were hundreds of participants from private and regional agencies, SMEs, Rembang Local Bureaucracy (OPD), and the general public.
In this year's program, RB in Rembang targets a total sales transaction to reach half-billion rupiah or 500 million rupiahs, exceeding the transaction achievement in 2021 with a total of more than 2,000 gift packages sold that was worth 428 million rupiahs. This report made Rembang Regency one of the regencies/cities with the largest total orders for gifts to SMEs in Central Java.
The President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Subhan, stated that the "Bingkisan Berkah UKM Rembang" or Eid gifts program demonstrated a real contribution of PTSG to absorbing SME products through RB in Rembang to help them survive, develop, and grow amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Since its establishment in August 2020, our Rumah BUMN has made impressive progress. Although RB in Rembang Regency managed to reach a transaction value of 1.4 billion rupiahs until March 2022, it still needs to be improved as the locomotive of the SME economy. I hope that the sales turnover target for the Eid gifts from the Rumah BUMN can reach half a billion and become the highest among all regencies/cities in Central Java,'' Subhan remarked in a press release.
He also hoped that Rumah BUMN could serve as a shared main facility for hundreds of assisted SMEs in the Company's operational area. Therefore, he would continue to be committed to strengthening the synergy with the Rembang Regency Government and persistently make innovations in assisting, facilitating, and developing SMEs.
At the same time, Rembang Regent Abdul Hafidz appreciated Semen Gresik's initiative and contribution to supporting the existence and growth of SMEs in Rembang Regency by selling Eid gifts produced by those SMEs through Rumah BUMN in Rembang Regency. This action, he added, was an effort to support the recovery of the national economy and encourage enthusiasm for purchasing domestic products.
Abdul Hafidz considered SME products in Rembang Regency brilliant and qualified to compete as these products were marketed in dozens of well-known modern retail stores.
Fera Damayanti, an SME actor from Kopi Cangkir that was assisted by RB in Rembang Regency, stated that she really appreciated this synergy. According to her, the launching of the "Bingkisan Berkah UKM" program could help SMEs market their products for free. She expected that this program could be held annually.
"I really appreciate Semen Gresik for the assistance programs for SMEs that have been carried out so far. We are very grateful for this Bingkisan Berkah UKM program since it helps our promotional efforts. This obviously meant a lot to other SME actors, too," said Damayanti.
When the program was launched, many Eid gift packages were offered with a very diverse and attractive selection of packaging and products, starting from food, beverages, crafts, and fashion, to Rembang batik. The prices were also very varied, for example, 100 thousand rupiahs for the Khuldi Package, 200 thousand rupiahs for the Al-Maqamul Package, 260 thousand rupiahs for the Darussalam Package, 300 thousand rupiahs for the Darul Muqamah Package, IDR500 thousand for the Mawa Package, and 1 million rupiahs for the most luxurious one, Paradise Package.
