Semen Gresik Receives 3 Patents from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Proving the Excellence of Company Innovation
Rembang, March 1st, 2024 – PT Semen Gresik again obtained three patents from the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.
The three simple patents include Crossbar locking system on crossbar type slag cooler drive plate (patent number: IDS000007055), a Grinding machine optimization method by modifying a rubber spring to eliminate wear and tear (patent number: IDS000006991), an Angled plate to improve cooling of drive plate system on slag cooler (patent number: IDS000007056).
Head of Semen Gresik Management System Unit (SMSG), Nurhadi, explained that the simple patent certificate was issued by DJKI Kemenkunham RI based on law number 13 of 2016 which was issued on December 6 and 13, 2023.
"The achievement of the production field patent is a concrete form of the company in protecting the intellectual property rights (IPR) of the Semen Gresik inventor team to support the sustainability of the company," he explained.
Nurhadi said, the three patents have their respective advantages in accordance with their functions and uses in supporting the company's production activities.
"Obtaining a patent takes a long time. Starting from registration, then the process of improving documents, to the period of claims from other parties to the patented invention, to the final stage of substantive examination," he explained.
He added that the patent process was carried out independently by a team from Semen Gresik. "With the talents of the employees, we hope to be able to spread the spirit of innovation to all lines for the progress of the company," he said.
With the issuance of the patent, he continued, in 2023 a total of 6 inventions have been determined as Semen Gresik patents issued by the DJKI of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia.
