SG Ranked Gold, the Highest International Award, in the 2022 ICQCC in Jakarta
Rembang, November 21, 2022 - PT Semen Gresik (PTSG), through the Kurama innovation team, managed to achieve the Gold rank in the 2022 International Convention on Quality Control Circle (ICQCC) held in Jakarta on November 15–18, 2022. This year’s ICQCC used the theme “Build back better through Quality Efforts” and was attended by 260 teams from 16 countries.
PTSG’s innovation team gained the best achievement with the title “Performance Optimation of Inlet Kiln Analyzer to Support Rembang Factory Kiln Operation”.
The Head of the Management System Unit of Semen Gresik (SMSG), Nurhadi, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the PTSG’s innovation team, the Kurama team, who successfully presented a brilliant achievement by winning a Gold rank.
“This is such a remarkable achievement. This innovation can be the Company’s competitive advantage amidst the increasingly intense market competition,” said Nurhadi in his press release (21/11).
Nurhadi stated that this event was an opportunity for innovators to exhibit, promote, and exchange experiences in improving the quality and productivity of individuals and groups.
“We hope that the innovators can give excellent contributions to the Company in line with the objectives of operational excellence, maintenance excellence, and environmental excellence,” he explained.
Meanwhile, the coordinator of the Kurama team, Aditya Ristianto, expressed his pride and gratitude to the Company’s management for allowing them to represent PTSG in an international event for the first time.
“Alhamdulillah. Thanks to the grace of Allah the Almighty, the Kurama team could represent Semen Gresik at the 2022 ICQCC and successfully ranked gold. This is such an extraordinary achievement, considering the intense competition with other best representatives of other companies,” said Ristianto.
