Strengthening K3 Awareness, Semen Gresik Commemorates National K3 Month with an Alert Ceremony to Safety Challenge

Rembang, January 26th, 2024 PT Semen Gresik commemorates the National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month with various activities participated by employees in the company environment, starting with the alert ceremony agenda, watching together the opening of the national K3 month from the SIG group, safety challenge competitions, to plans for health seminars, blood donors and various activations that encourage K3 culture in the company.

The Chairperson of the National K3 Month Committee of PT Semen Gresik, Alfi Fadlhi, said that the commemoration of the National K3 Month in 2024 carries the theme "Cultivate K3, Be Healthy and Safe at Work, Maintain Business Sustainability", which is also a momentum to increase awareness of the implementation of K3 in the implementation of company operations.

The safety challenge competition he continued was held and participated in by all work units and contractors at the west parking area of the Omah SG Building (23/1).

"Hundreds of participants enthusiastically participated in the safety challenge competition, including the Fire Fighting competition, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) competition, First Aid for Accidents (P3K) competition, and yell competition," explained Alfi Fadlhi in his press statement (26/1).

He said the purpose of implementing this activity is to improve skills and abilities in safety management and increase safety awareness so that the safety culture at work is increasing.

"So, with this, all company operational activities can avoid work accidents and various occupational diseases," he explained.

Alfi explained that the success in implementing K3 principles in the company environment, Semen Gresik won various appreciations, including the ICC-OSH 2023 3-star rating, successfully achieving zero accidents or zero work accidents, and the company is consistent in the implementation of the K3 management system according to ISO 45001: 2018 and PP 50 of 2012.
