The President Director of Semen Gresik talks about the Core Values of Akhlak in Café AKHLAK with the theme "Bridging the Gap between Generations"

Rembang, September 9, 2022 – PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) held a hybrid seminar on the core values of AKHLAK (the practice of trustworthy, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, and collaborative) with the theme "Bridging the gap between generations" at the Sinabung room of Semen Indonesia, Tuban. The seminar's main speakers were the President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Subhan, S.E., AK., M.M., CA., and the Director of Operations of Semen Indonesia Group (SIG), Ir. Yosviandri, MM (9/9). 

The seminar with the concept of "Angkringan Café AKHLAK" (denoting a casual talk about AKHLAK) was attended by the Director of Finance and HR of PTSG, Muchamad Supriyadi, and the Director of Production of PTSG, Reni Wulandari, along with the management and employees, as well as SIG and PTSG millennials.

Yosviandri, the Director of Operations of Semen Indonesia Group (SIG), stated in his opening remarks that this learn-and-share activity was organized for SIG staff to make them aware of the generation gap in the workplace.

"I would like to appreciate Semen Gresik for organizing this activity. By using the casual concept, hopefully, it can positively impact all SIG personnel so they can work in synergy with each other to provide capabilities for the development of the company," said Yosviandri in his press statement (9/9). 

The President Director of PTSG, Subhan, explained in his webinar that the gap between generations will always inevitably emerges along with the rapid technological development from time to time.

"According to the data in 2020, the number of millennial workforce in Indonesia showed an increase. However, in 2025, Generations X and Z are predicted to dominate the global workforce," said Subhan.

Subhan continued that the gap between generations can arise in the business world and cause conflict within a company. Accordingly, a company needs a leader with good leadership to unite the employees and become a role model for them.

"The implementation of the core values ​​of AKHLAK undoubtedly relates to every generation as we move with the times. All generations have two similar values relevant to business practices; those are collaboration and loyalty. Therefore, the implementation of these values is expected to support the company's sustainability," stated Subhan. 

Subhan emphasized that nurturing AKHLAK in all SIG personnel by developing a collaborative work environment, synergism, and good communication can address challenges and problems as we move with the times and rapid technology development.
