Celebrating 3rd Anniversary, Rumah BUMN Rembang Semen Gresik Holds 2nd Edition of “UMKM Kokoh” Festival with Record Transaction of RP 2.92 M
Rembang, September 4th, 2023 – To commemorate its 3rd anniversary, Rumah BUMN Rembang Semen Gresik, which is managed through a co-partnership with PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), once again held the " UMKM Kokok Festival 2nd Edition" from September 1st to 2nd, 2023, at the premises of RB Rembang. The event was attended by the Regent of Rembang, Abdul Hafidz.
Yeni Indah Lestari, CEO of the Rembang BUMN House, mentioned that the event was themed as a festival and featured various activities, including UMKM bazaars, various competitions, and a Fashion Show collaboration among renowned designers from Rembang Regency. In addition to the festivities, the UMKM Kokoh Festival also focused on activities aimed at enhancing the competencies and skills of the community and millennials, such as content optimization workshops, gift decoration workshops, and makeup workshops to support the rapidly growing creative industry in Rembang.
"This event is also held as an expression of gratitude for Semen Gresik's success in empowering UMKMs, communities, and millennials, which has enabled RB Rembang to significantly achieve transactions of IDR 2.92 million in its third year," explained Yeni Indah Lestari in her press statement on September 4th.
She added that despite its relatively young age, RB Rembang has managed to mentor a total of 285 upgraded UMKMs and has conducted 69 training sessions since its operation began in 2020.
Present at the grand awarding ceremony of the UMKM Kokoh Festival 2nd edition on September 2nd, 2023, were the Regent of Rembang, H. Abdul Hafidz, the Finance and HR Director of PT Semen Gresik, Fardhi Sjahrul Ade, along with SIG management and CEO of the Rembang BUMN House, Yeni Indah Lestari.
Fardhi Sjahrul Ade, Finance and HR Director of PT Semen Gresik, extended his heartfelt congratulations and appreciation for RB Rembang's remarkable achievements over the past three years. At its 3rd anniversary, RB Rembang has excelled in its performance and remains committed to empowering UMKMs to excel further.
"The most significant achievement is the successful shipment of thousands of products from mentored UMKMs to the Tong Tong Fair 2022 in The Hague, Netherlands, as well as the successful organization of hamper sales programs during Ramadan in 2023, with a total of orders and transactions amounting to IDR 1.23 billion so far," he said.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Rembang, H. Abdul Hafidz, highlighted the strong synergy between the Rembang Regency government and PT Semen Gresik, which has successfully driven significant growth in Rembang's UMKMs and their business transformation.
"Through the UMKM Kokoh Festival, we provide support to UMKM to enhance their quality and productivity. Our hope is that this collaboration continues to flourish and contributes to boosting the local economy of Rembang and its surrounding areas," he concluded.
