Celebrating Semen Gresik’s 9th Anniversary, Its Outdoor Enthusiast Community Hike to Mount Ungaran
Rembang, February 6, 2023 – To celebrate the 9th anniversary of PT Semen Gresik (PTSG), an outdoor enthusiast community by PTSG’s employees, Swelagiri Rembang, held a community hiking to Puncak Raider of Mount Ungaran, on January 28 – 29, 2023.
The hiking of the 2.050-meter-high mountain was joined by 11 outdoor enthusiasts among the employees of PTSG, who were also members of Swelagiri Rembang.
PTSG’s Senior Manager of Communication and CSR, Dharma Sunyata, explained that this community hiking was held annually to celebrate the anniversary of PTSG.
“The event is a positive activity that benefits the members of the community, who enjoy it as a hobby and a way to unwind after work. Moreover, it is a way to celebrate the 9th anniversary of PTSG,” Dharma explained in his press statement.
“I hope the event could provide value for the community’s members, and it could contribute positively towards the company’s sustainability,” Dharma said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Swelagiri Rembang, Amrullah Yahya, stated that in addition to the community hiking, Swelagiri also held green, environmentally aware activities such as mangrove mass planting and programs for members to develop care and love for nature.
He continued that this community hiking was intended to strengthen working relationships among members so that better communication among them was maintained at Swelagiri and while at work.
“It is also a positive medium for the members who love and care about nature, take care of their physical health and wellness, and enjoy the such activity as a stress reliever,” he added.
