Four Local Heroes Assisted by Semen Gresik in Central Java Successfully Achieved Indonesia CSR Awards (ICA) and Indonesian SDGs Award (ISDA) 2023
Rembang, December 6th, 2023 – Developing environment-based empowerment programs for the village economy as part of the social and environmental responsibility program (TJSL), four local heroes from villages around the company in Blora and Rembang Regencies, Central Java, who are also assisted by PT Semen Gresik managed to record brilliant achievements by winning awards in the Indonesia CSR Awards (ICA) and Indonesian SDGs Award (ISDA) 2023 by the Corporate Forum for CSR Development (CFCD) at the Westin Hotel Jakarta (4/12).
The award was received and represented directly by the management of PT Semen Gresik at the Westin Hotel Jakarta. Appreciation in the best local hero category from Rembang Regency to Kundari in the village economic development program through Tegaldowo village MSMEs as the best local hero 1, the title of best local hero 2 to Jumiyarti in the women's empowerment program through Batik Tulis Pasucen, to Sukardi with the Integrated Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Edupark development program, and Nikmatus Zahroatin in the BUMI KARTINI home farming activity program in Ngampel Village from Blora Regency.
"We are grateful to be the pride of all parties for the appreciation given. With full support from the company, it can form the independence of local heroes in developing each excellent program so that it can have a positive impact in each village around the company," explained Senior Manager of Communication and CSR PTSG, Dharma Sunyata (6/12).
Dharma explained the form of Semen Gresik's assistance to the fostered local hero starts from identifying program potential, then increasing capacity, transferring core competencies, providing supporting assistance, improving infrastructure, and monitoring and evaluating empowerment program assistance.
"The achievement of this local hero is a tangible manifestation that the company is consistent and successful in realizing added value together between the company and the community in forming a sustainable business system based on global agreements, namely the SDGs," he explained.
He hopes that the company will continue to be consistent in fostering the spirit of sustainability so that it can bring up other local heroes around the company with their respective potential and passion. Thus, creating a healthy social ecosystem, an improved economy, and a sovereign village.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of CFCD, Thendri Supriatno, said that this award is a form of appreciation to the business world and non-governmental institutions/organizations that are considered to play an active role and contribute to the achievement of SDGs, through activities in achieving SDGs.
"The 2023 ICA and ISDA Awards are participated by state-owned companies, private companies, and CSR activist organizations in Indonesia. This year, ICA participants for corporations/institutions consist of 32 companies and individual participants consist of 9 people. Meanwhile, ISDA participants consist of 101 companies and 14 individuals," he concluded.
