PTSG Distributes Assistance Totalling 1.75 Billion through FMM to 6 Villages in Rembang and Appreciates the Best Social and Environmental Responsibility Program Management

Rembang, December 23, 2022 - PT Semen Gresik demonstrated its commitment to supporting the environment and community by distributing financial assistance through the Civil Society Forum (FMM) amounting to IDR1.75 billion to 6 villages around the Company in Rembang. Additionally, PTSG showed appreciation to the best social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) program management in the evaluation and aspiration-capturing activity for PTSG’s TJSL program with strategic partners in Yogyakarta on December 21, 2022.

This event was attended by PTSG’s Senior Manager of Communication and CSR, Dharma Sunyata; the Head of Infrastructure and Natural Resources Bureau of Central Java, Dadang Somantri; the regional government representatives of Rembang and Blora Regencies; and the representatives from 6 villages of ring 1 (Kadiwono, Tegaldowo, Pasucen, Kajar, Timbrangan, and Ngampel Villages) around the Company.

Dharma Sunyata revealed that, after deliberation with PTSG, it had been agreed that assistance totaling IDR1.75 billion for FMM, the community-based participatory and labor-intensive program, in 2023 would be distributed to villages around the Company in two regencies, Rembang and Blora.

“PTSG is present and cares about the community with the hope to provide direct benefits to beneficiaries so that a healthy social ecosystem, a growing economy, and independent villages can be achieved,” said Sunyata in his press release (12/23).

In this event, through SG Lestari, Sunyata also gave awards in Yard Utilization and Local Food Development (Pemanfaatan Pekarangan dan Pengembangan Pangan Lokal or P4L) to villages around the Company that had successfully optimized their yards.

“The P4L program is a strategic effort to meet the food and nutritional needs of households. If successful, this program is expected to strengthen food security and bring economic value,” explained Sunyata.

Meanwhile, the Head of Infrastructure and Natural Resources Bureau of Central Java, Dadang Somantri, in his remarks, expressed his gratitude and appreciation for PTSG’s efforts until today in supporting the welfare and economy of the surrounding villages. 

“We give our highest appreciation to the entire management of PTSG. We hope that they will continue to work together developing and prospering villages in Rembang and Blora Regencies,” he explained.

The Head of Tegaldowo Village, Kundari, also expressed his gratitude to PTSG for its concern for the welfare and development of the surrounding villages by distributing assistance and showing appreciation. “Each village really enjoys the maximum benefit of the assistance by providing all the needs of the community,” he concluded.
