Rumah BUMN Semen Gresik Wins 2 Prestigious National Awards for MSME Empowerment

Rembang, July 2nd 2024 – Consistent in the empowerment of small and micro medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Rembang and Blora Regencies, PT Semen Gresik as a subsidiary of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk through Rumah BUMN Rembang won the Gold Winner title as an MSME fostering company as well as an award as the Best MSME companion 1 in the 2024 Bina Mitra UMKM Award by the Corporate Forum for CSR Development (CFCD) in Jakarta (29/6).

Senior Manager of Communication & CSR of PT Semen Gresik, Sulistyono, expressed his gratitude, thanks, and highest appreciation to the entire team and all lines at Rumah BUMN Rembang who consistently empower MSMEs in Rembang and Blora Regencies.

"This award is a tangible manifestation of our commitment in empowering MSMEs. Through the various programs that the company runs, we hope to continue to have a positive impact on the development of MSMEs," he explained.

He continued, MSMEs play an important role in driving the economy in the community, because they can support community empowerment to alleviate social problems such as unemployment by opening jobs. The company is committed to continuing to support business progress so that it can provide benefits for the progress of the nation and state.

Sulistyono added, since its 3 years of existence RB Rembang has recorded a total transaction of IDR 3.86 billion, with 409 MSME partners, succeeded in delivering more than 88 MSMEs to upgrade, absorbed approximately 1597 workers, and held 91 training sessions for fostered MSMEs, millennials, and the public.

Meanwhile, Director of CFCD Foundation, Thendri Supriatno, explained that this agenda is intended to give appreciation to companies or institutions that have contributed and played an active role in the process of developing the MSMEs they are fostering.

"This appreciation for MSME mentors is the first award event from CFCD, so it is hoped that it will be able to support MSME players to become more independent, productive and support the local and global economy," he concluded.
