Semen Gresik Achieves 3 Stars in ICC-OSH 2023 for Successful OSH Innovation

Rembang, June 14, 2023 – PT Semen Gresik attained another achievement through its PKM Remas team in the Indonesian Conference & Competition Occupational Safety and Health (ICC-OSH) 2023 at Atria Hotel, Malang, East Java on May 23–26, 2023.

The PKM Remas team achieved a 3 Stars grade in the theme of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) of PT Semen Gresik with an innovation entitled “Mengurangi frekuensi incident & accident di jalan hauling Tanah Liat Area Raw Mill Sebesar 100% selama 6 Bulan”.

The head of Unit Sistem Manajemen PT Semen Gresik (SMSG), Nurhadi, stated that the recognition received by the PKM Remas team was their first in a prestigious, national-level innovation event.

“[This] recognition is something the company is very proud of and is also a tangible display of its commitment to creating new innovations and initiatives toward its corporate growth,” he added.

He mentioned that the team, which consisted of 6 members, presented ideas and developed innovations in relation to improving the implementation of occupational safety and health (OSH) standards in the environment of PT Semen Gresik.

“We hope that the event can become an opportunity to share knowledge about OSH innovations to improve further the culture and awareness of OSH in the environment of PT Semen Gresik,” Nurhadi explained in his press statement (14/6).

Meanwhile, the PKM Remas team leader, Edgar Fastian, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the management, the company’s innovation management team, and the coworkers who supported and guided the team during their participation in ICC-OSH 2023.

“Our goal is to be able to create even more OSH-related innovations in the future so that continuity is created from ICC-OSH to other related events. Safety is Our Priority,” he stated.

He added that various innovations in the implementation of OSH standards that have been carried out and have become the company’s work plans were the implementation of Kejar K3, the application of a one-gate system, and the digitalization of the management of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE).
