Semen Gresik Holds SGIC VII 2024, the Highest Appreciation Event for the Company's Best Innovators

Rembang, July 18th, 2024 – PT Semen Gresik gave the highest appreciation to the best innovators in the company environment in the event of Awarding Semen Gresik Innovation Convention (SGIC) VII 2024 at Omah SG Rembang Factory, Tuesday, July 16th 2024.

The event was virtually attended by the Director of HR and General Affairs of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), Agung Wiharto and the Head of Industry & Labor Office of Rembang Regency, Dwi Murtopo, President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi, Director of Finance & HR, Fardhi Sjahrul Ade, Director of Operations, Benny Ismanto, along with the management and employees.

SIG HR and General Director, Agung Wiharto, in his speech said that many employees at Semen Gresik have a fighting spirit just like the struggle for the establishment of the Rembang Factory.

“It is hoped that the spirit of innovation from the employees will be able to become a solid foundation in facing market challenges. So that in time it will become a champion who will make the best contribution to the company, the community, and the surrounding environment,” he explained.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Semen Gresik, Muchamad Supriyadi expressed his highest appreciation for the VII SGIC event in 2024. It was noted that the highest innovator event in Semen Gresik this year succeeded in capturing 55 works, with a total of 133 participants, an increase of 11% from the previous year.

“The management is grateful for the performance of the committee, starting from the socialization process, registration, judging to the implementation of the SGIC awarding festive and innovative,” explained Muchamad Supriyadi.

Supriyadi hopes that the innovators will spread the spirit of innovation in producing quality work so that it can have a positive impact on the company's environment.

The same thing was also conveyed by the Kadinas of Industry & Labor of Rembang Regency, Dwi Murtopo, giving appreciation to Semen Gresik Rembang Factory which has successfully run its operations. “With events like this, it is a good opportunity for employees to continue to innovate in order to contribute to the sustainability of the company,” he explained.

The coordinator of the 1st winner of the Quality Control Cluster (GKM) category of the Vane of Life team, Irwan Nu'man Hadi, expressed his pride and gratitude for being selected as the winner, an extraordinary achievement for the team. As well as being a motivation to continue to improve the company's operational excellence.

“We hope that the SGIC event will be able to continue to be consistent in capturing and encouraging the spirit of innovation for employees, so as to make innovation a work culture to support the sustainability of the company in the future,” he concluded.
