Semen Gresik Supports the Education of the Children of Mangkunegaran's Abdi Dalem in Collaboration with the Ministry of SOEs
Rembang, August 31, 2022 - PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) collaborated with the Ministry of SOEs (State-Owned Enterprises) in the Bakti BUMN Volunteer Program to celebrate the 77th Indonesian Independence Day.
PTSG delegates were selected from 9,845 registrants from all over Indonesia to perform their services in Surakarta, Central Java, on August 14-17, 2022.
Senior Manager of Communication and CSR, Dharma Sunyata, explained that the Bakti BUMN Volunteer Program is an initiative from the Ministry of SOEs that offers opportunities for SOEs employees (including SOEs subsidiaries) from all over Indonesia to directly participate in developing Indonesia through the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program.
"Our company is very proud of Semen Gresik's young employees who have been selected to participate in celebrating Indonesian Independence Day with the society. It proves that SOEs and society remain closely intertwined," said Dharma Sunyata in the press release (30/8).
Sunyata continued that in Surakarta, PTSG synergizes with the Ministry of SOEs by implementing an activity focusing on nature conservation programs and educational support for the children of Mangkunegaran's abdi dalem (royal servant). This program aligns with the Ministry of SOEs' three priorities, i.e., education, environment, and MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises).
Meanwhile, related to the renovation plan of Mangkunegaran Palace and various activities in this program, GPH Bhre Cakrahutomo Wira Sudjiwo KGPAA Mangkunegara X said that SOEs have so far provided excellent support.
"We plan to renovate Mangkunegaran Palace soon. We want to revitalize the outer side of the palace to allow more productive activities in tourism and cultural sectors," GPH Bhre in the press release at the Mangkunegaran Palace area.
One of PTSG's young employee delegates, Andi Prasetyo, was glad and proud to participate directly in celebrating Indonesian Independence Day with Mangkunegaran's abdi dalem.
"We have carried out many activities, including tree planting and communal work in the Pasedan field, free medical check-ups, inspirational classes, making batik together, visiting Lokananta, hydroponic training, renovating public toilets, and held various competitions with the children of the abdi dalem (royal servants)," he concluded.
