Semen Gresik-Assisted MSMEs Makes Total Revenue of Rp 23.8 Million, Receiving Best Booth at Jateng Fair 2023
Rembang, July 17, 2023 – PT Semen Gresik via Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang brought 243 types of commodities, which were produced by 38 assisted MSMEs, to Jateng Fair 2023 and successfully achieved stand terbaik (the best booth) at the event, which was organized in Komplek PRPP Semarang, June 30–July 16, 2023.
A closing ceremony for the biggest fair in Central Java was held on the night of July 16, 2023, and was attended by Central Java Provincial Secretary Sumarmo, as well as representatives of regencies and cities, Central Java’s state-owned and region-owned enterprises, and relevant agencies.
PT Semen Gresik’s Senior Manager of Communication & CSR, Dharma Sunyata, expressed his appreciation for the biggest fair in Central Java, as the event became the best, most anticipated arena for MSMEs to introduce themselves and promote their featured products.
“During the 17 days of the fair, RB Rembang-assisted MSMEs made sales worth a total of Rp 23.8 million, and the types of products sold included fashion items, handicrafts, food & beverage products, as well as authentic Rembang batik clothing,” Dharma explained in his press release (Jun. 17).
Dharma continued that not only did Semen Gresik make a lot of sales, but it also achieved the title of the best booth against hundreds of participants of the Jateng Fair 2023.
“It is an honor for us to become the winner in the category of the best booth at the Jateng Fair 2023. [We hope that] this can motivate the assisted MSMEs to continue producing their best work and to develop their presence as the pride of Rembang,” Dharma said.
Semen Gresik’s booth at the fair showcased not only the assisted MSMEs’ featured products but also the good qualities of Semen Gresik as an eco-friendly company with modern factories. “In accordance with the company’s commitment, Semen Gresik continues to grow alongside society and contribute to environmental conservation,” Dharma said.
Dharma added that the company was constantly committed to empowering the assisted MSMEs in a continuous manner, particularly in the aspects of marketing and promotion. The assisted MSMEs were expected to develop, become highly competitive, and expand their respective business markets.
Dharma further added that since its establishment almost three years ago, RB Rembang had made total sales of Rp 2.8 billion and had assisted more than 272 MSMEs to develop. It even successfully accomplished the achievement of sending thousands of commodities, which were produced by Rembang’s MSMEs, to go global by participating at the Tong Tong Fair in The Hague, the Netherlands, in September 2022.
