Who Would Have Thought, Lelet Pandawa Coffee Assisted by Semen Gresik's Rembang BUMN House Could Reach Billions of Rupiah Per Year Turnover

Rembang, June 11th, 2024 – The coffee business is still popular in various regions in reaping the coffers that are quite lucrative. Such is the case of Moh Totok Wahyudi, the owner of the Pandawa slow coffee business from Rembang Regency and a mentor of Rumah BUMN (RB) Rembang which is managed in a co-partnership between PT Semen Gresik and the parent company PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG).

Remarkably, the business of lelet coffee typical of the Rembang region, can reap an average turnover of Rp 16 million per day and even able to reap a turnover of Rp 4 billion per year.

Totok admitted that currently Kopi Pandawa can produce 5 to 6 tons of Robustas coffee every month. His coffee products are distributed in the pantura area of Central Java Province in Rembang, Blora, Pati, Kudus, Jepara and Tuban Regencies in East Java, as well as marketed online throughout Indonesia.

Pandawa slow coffee was established in 2019, formed from the story of 5 brothers who compactly started a business together, and was motivated by seeing people in Rembang Regency who like to consume coffee.

“The business product named ‘Kopi Lelet Lasem Pandawa’ is produced with high quality, which is processed using selected coffee beans, without mixture with a more mature powder color,” he said.

He added that with the assistance from RB Rembang Semen Gresik, there are many benefits and opportunities so that the hope is to be able to expand marketing to regions in the country.

Meanwhile, Senior Manager of Communication & CSR of PT Semen Gresik, Sulistyono, expressed his appreciation to the MSMEs assisted by Pandawa coffee which continues to grow as it is today.

"MSMEs play an important role in driving the economy in the community, because they are able to support community empowerment to alleviate social problems such as unemployment by opening up jobs. The company is committed to continuing to support business progress so that it can provide benefits for the progress of the nation and state,” explained Sulistyono.

Sulistyono added, since its establishment RB Rembang has recorded a total transaction of Rp 3.86 billion, with 409 MSME partners, succeeded in delivering more than 88 MSMEs to upgrade, absorbed approximately 1597 workers, and held 91 training sessions for fostered MSMEs, millennials, and the public.
